B's 7th Family Day

Seven years ago, I met a very scared, shut-down, non-verbal almost 3 year old in Nanchang.

Isn't it amazing what a family and a whole lotta love can do for a child?

Flat Rope Twists

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get the hang of doing corn rows yet in J's hair.  

Working on a moving target certainly doesn't help.

So I decided that maybe flat rope twists would be easier to do.

And they were. 

The only problem is that I used a different styling product, recommended by some a-friends.  

Not digging it for J's hair.  Way too much fuzz and not enough hold.

Lesson learned.  And I will put them in again, especially for summer and all the time we'll be spending at the pool!

My Non-Runner

Thankful for a little boy who is not a "runner".

At least not at the store.

Yep, he'll hold onto the basket the entire shoppping trip!

My heart swells when I see these four together.

The littles are heading into jie jie's apt. for a sleepover.

And they couldn't be more excited to spend time with her.
