Slow Process....

I attempted to get back into blogging using a wordpress site.  I found it really hard to use.  Probably because I'm so used to blogger.  So having taken that blog down, I hope to transfer the posts from there over to this one and it will be a

s l o w    p r o c e s s!!

S'mores Fun!

It's hard to believe that Spring Break is coming to an end.

So to finish off a perfect day, we decided at the last minute that we should have s'mores.  So off to the store we went.

We haven't used our fire pit in....I'm embarrassed to say....years.

The girls were excited about these monster marshmallows.

(note to self--just buy the large ones next time)

B's 7th Family Day

Seven years ago, I met a very scared, shut-down, non-verbal almost 3 year old in Nanchang.

Isn't it amazing what a family and a whole lotta love can do for a child?

Flat Rope Twists

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get the hang of doing corn rows yet in J's hair.  

Working on a moving target certainly doesn't help.

So I decided that maybe flat rope twists would be easier to do.

And they were. 

The only problem is that I used a different styling product, recommended by some a-friends.  

Not digging it for J's hair.  Way too much fuzz and not enough hold.

Lesson learned.  And I will put them in again, especially for summer and all the time we'll be spending at the pool!

My Non-Runner

Thankful for a little boy who is not a "runner".

At least not at the store.
